Don’t Have Commission Breath

The holidays are a time to enjoy your friends and family. The last thing your family or friends want is to be pitched over the holiday ham. When you are thinking about creating a paycheck from the holiday, you are not going to see the results that you want. People are going to smell your commission breath from a mile away.

Track Your Activity

When you are prospecting, make sure to track your activity throughout the holidays. You want to see if your conversion rate changes during these times. Most of the time, you are going to find that the numbers are the same on average. Just because people are having fun and enjoying the holidays doesn’t mean they aren’t thinking about the bills they are going to get after Christmas.

Know What Your Prospect Wants

When you want to recruit more people during the holiday, you should be focused on what they want. Instead of focusing on how badly you want to recruit them to reach your end of the year goals, you want to think about what they want to achieve after coming into your business. Whether it is more time, money or whatever else it might be, you want to understand what it is that they want and paint a picture of how your opportunity can help them.

When you are in the network marketing profession, you want to bring on as many new team members as you can and keep as many team members as you can, but many times people don’t think about the things they are doing wrong that could be hurting their team retention.

Being Rude

When you start getting some traction, it is easy to get a big head and start being rude to people. When you have a new business partner come on board, it is your job to manage their expectations. In this article, I am going to talk to you about managing expectations for your network marketing newbies.

It is easy for people to get fired up at opportunity meetings since they are mainly hype and fluff, but what happens when it is time for the rubber to hit the road? This is usually when your new recruit looks in the mirror and says, “Are you really sure you want to do this?” and a lot of times the answer is NO! because they are scared about moving forward.

Talk to Them About the Inner Battle

Before your new team members get out of your reach, you want to make sure they are prepared for the inner battle. You are going to lose most of your new team members instantly because they are not mentally prepared for what is going to come at them.

You need to let them know about negative friends and family. Talk to them about how the people they think are going to join won’t and the ones they won’t expect may. Each of these things could take them out because of the inner battle if you do not get them ready for it.

Let Them Know About the Numbers

You should also let them know about the numbers in the business. When people are new, they may need to ask 10 people to take a look at their opportunity before even 1 person is willing to take a look. As the skills grow, the numbers are going to get better because your skills are going to get better.

You may have heard that the quality of the answers you receive will be equal to the quality of the questions you ask. In this article, I am going to talk to you about one question you can add to double your business.

Who wouldn’t want to double their business? Everyone would love to but you probably wouldn’t want to have to work twice as hard. When you add the following question, you will be able to do the same amount of initial work and have the potential to double your business. What is the question?

Who Do You Know?

Adding the question “Who do you know?” will open up massive opportunities for you. Questions like, “Who do you know that is looking for an opportunity to generate additional income?”, “Who do you know that needs to shed ten or more pounds within the next month?” and so on and so forth.

When you ask this question and you get an answer, you are able to grow your “warm market” through a recommendation and leverage the relationship this person has with the person you are going to speak with about your product or opportunity. This means the years of work and care the person you are speaking to has put into the relationship is working for you.

It’s easy to forget to ask this question, but make sure you put it on your to-do list. You do not want to miss out on the opportunity for a new rockstar business partner to come into your business or a new loyal customer.
